ABOUT US

About Our Philosophy: Authentic Ayurveda for Modern Life

At Embrace Ayurveda, “About” means staying close to the roots and living lineage of this work while keeping it practical for today. Founded and led by Sarah Kruse, our approach is grounded in time-tested Ayurvedic science and adapted for the realities of modern living. With over 26 years of direct lineage training under Dr. Vasant Lad, Sarah brings steady guidance that is both informed and approachable. Sarah is committed to helping you understand your unique tendencies and needs in a way that fits your actual schedule, season, and nervous system. From our Bainbridge Island hub, with satellite connections in Seattle, Onalaska, and Cannon Beach, we support people who feel stretched thin, rebuilding after stress, or navigating metabolic changes. We practice “progress over perfection,” which means you are invited to start where you are and build consistent, sustainable steps. The heart of Embrace Ayurveda is simple: reconnect with your true nature, restore balance, and cultivate health with compassion and realistic support.

ABOUT OUR WORK

Education, Offerings, and Community Care

Looking more deeply into Embrace Ayurveda means understanding how this practice shows up in the Pacific Northwest as both care and education. Our offerings include the signature Ignite Your Life Reset and Panchakarma Retreats, with each experience designed to translate Vedic healing into modern routines. Sarah’s role as a teacher and mentor, including faculty work with institutions like Bastyr University and Evergreen State College, reflects a blend of traditional study and contemporary wellness education.

We also carry Ayurveda into daily ritual through the handmade Ayurvedic Face Cream line, developed since 2015 as a simple way to nourish skin and enhance your radiance. Embrace Ayurveda is also about creating spaces that feel safe and doable. You might cross the ferry for an appointment, join a seasonal reset, or connect digitally from elsewhere. Our story continues through thoughtful clinical work, relationships with trusted local practitioners, and a commitment to make whole-person wellness feel less overwhelming and more sustainable.

As an Ayurvedic Practitioner, I assist clients in returning to their true nature through the principles we apply in Ayurvedic Consultations and Ayurvedic Health Coaching programs.

I have chosen to work in the field of Ayurveda for the purpose of bringing healing and awareness to people’s lives so that they can realize their unique life path and contribute their gifts to the world we live in.

It is my intention to encourage integration of all health care systems and wisdom traditions for the benefit of all.

I am a graduate of The Ayurvedic Institute in New Mexico, where I studied under Dr. Vasant Lad, and have traveled extensively throughout India, studying with renowned Ayurvedic doctors and scholars. I am also a graduate of The Brenneke School of Massage in Seattle. I have been practicing Ayurveda since 1999 and massage since 2001.
